Branding & Identity
Azteca Media builds brand identities for businesses that have outgrown their original look. Work includes logo design, colour and type systems, brand guidelines, and the applied assets you use every day — vehicle wraps, signage, uniforms, proposals, social templates. A brand system is worth building when inconsistency has started costing you credibility, not before.

What you get
Outcomes
- One consistent identity across every place a customer sees you
- Assets your team can use without a designer in the loop
- A look that matches the quality of the work you actually do
- Guidelines that keep the brand intact as more people touch it
Scope
What is included
Every item below is part of the quoted scope. Anything outside it is quoted separately before it starts — never added to an invoice after the fact.
- 01 Discovery and positioning
- Who you serve, what you are known for, and how you differ from the competitor down the road.
- 02 Logo system
- Primary, secondary and mark-only versions in every format, built to work at sign scale and favicon scale alike.
- 03 Colour and typography
- A defined palette with contrast-checked combinations and a type scale that holds up in print and on screen.
- 04 Brand guidelines
- A practical document your team and any future vendor can follow, not a fifty-page theory piece.
- 05 Applied assets
- Business cards, vehicle graphics, signage specs, proposal templates and social templates.
- 06 Asset library handover
- Every file, every format, organised and owned by you.
Process
How the work runs
-
Discovery
Interviews, competitor review and an honest look at where your current identity is letting you down.
-
Direction
Two or three distinct territories presented, so you are choosing between strategies rather than between colours.
-
Refine
One direction developed to completion, tested at real sizes and in real applications before sign-off.
-
Systematise
Guidelines and applied assets produced so the identity survives contact with everyday use.
A good fit if
- Your identity was made quickly years ago and has drifted since
- Different team members produce visibly different-looking materials
- You are about to invest in a website or campaign and want it built on something solid
Probably not for you if
- Businesses looking for a cheap logo only. A logo without a system is where inconsistency starts, and we would rather not sell you the problem.
Questions
Branding & Identity questions
What is the difference between a logo and a brand identity?
A logo is one mark. A brand identity is the full system that keeps everything looking like it came from the same company: logo variations, colour palette, typography, imagery style, layout rules and the guidelines that govern their use. Businesses that buy a logo alone usually end up with five slightly different versions in circulation within two years.
How long does a branding project take?
Six to ten weeks for a full identity system, including discovery, three creative directions, refinement and applied assets. The discovery and direction stages are where the time goes; production moves quickly once a direction is approved.
Do I own the final logo files?
Completely. You receive the full source files in every required format — vector, raster, print and screen — and full ownership of the work. Nothing is licensed back to you or held on our systems.
Should I rebrand or just refresh what I have?
Refresh when the identity is fundamentally sound but dated — usually a type and colour update with the mark preserved, which keeps existing recognition intact. Rebrand when the business has genuinely changed what it does or who it serves, or when the current identity actively misrepresents the quality of the work. We will tell you which one you need at the discovery stage, including when the answer is "neither yet".
