Search Engine Optimization

Azteca Media runs technical and local SEO programs for small and mid-sized businesses across the United States. Work covers technical site health, Google Business Profile optimization, location and service page architecture, and content built around the questions your customers actually search. Most clients see meaningful ranking movement in three to six months, because that is how long it takes search engines to re-evaluate a site and act on the changes.

What you get

Outcomes

  • Rank for the searches that bring buyers, not just traffic
  • Show up in the Google map pack across your service area
  • Turn your site into an asset that compounds instead of an expense that repeats
  • Know exactly which pages earn calls, forms and revenue

Scope

What is included

Every item below is part of the quoted scope. Anything outside it is quoted separately before it starts — never added to an invoice after the fact.

01 Technical audit and remediation
Crawl, index and Core Web Vitals analysis, then the actual fixes — not a PDF of problems handed back to you.
02 Google Business Profile optimization
Categories, services, attributes, photos, Q&A and a review cadence that keeps the profile active in the map pack.
03 Keyword and intent mapping
Every target search assigned to exactly one page, so your own pages stop competing with each other.
04 On-page and content build
Titles, headings, internal links and net-new pages written for the searches you are missing.
05 Local citation and NAP consistency
Name, address and phone corrected everywhere they appear, because inconsistency quietly suppresses local rankings.
06 Monthly reporting against revenue
Rankings, calls, forms and assisted conversions in one report you can read in five minutes.

Process

How the work runs

  1. Baseline

We measure where you actually stand: current rankings, indexation, site health, profile strength and where competitors are beating you. Nothing is changed in week one.

  2. Fix the foundation

Technical issues first. Speed, crawlability, duplicate pages, broken internal linking. Content work on a broken foundation is money spent twice.

  3. Build the map

One page per intent, structured so search engines and language models can both parse what you do and where you do it.

  4. Publish and earn

Ongoing content and local signals, prioritized by which searches are closest to a purchase decision.

  5. Report and adjust

Monthly review of what moved and what did not, with the next month scoped from the data rather than from a template.

A good fit if

  • You serve a defined geographic area and want to own it
  • You have a real business with real customers and reviews to build on
  • You can commit to at least six months — SEO does not work in sprints

Probably not for you if

  • Anyone who needs leads next week. Use paid search for that, and let SEO compound underneath it.
  • Businesses looking to buy links or game rankings. We will decline the work.

Questions

Search Engine Optimization questions

How long does SEO take to work?

Expect three to six months before rankings move meaningfully, and nine to twelve months for compounding results. Technical fixes can show up faster — sometimes within weeks — but content and authority need time. Any agency promising page-one rankings in thirty days is either buying links or selling you terms nobody searches.

What is the difference between SEO and local SEO?

SEO covers how your website ranks in standard search results. Local SEO covers how your business ranks in the map pack and in location-qualified searches like "roofer near me". Local SEO depends heavily on your Google Business Profile, review volume and NAP consistency across the web — signals that live outside your website entirely. Most service businesses need both.

Do you guarantee first-page rankings?

No, and neither should anyone else. Google does not sell or guarantee organic placement, so no agency can promise it. What we do commit to is a defined scope of work, monthly reporting against the searches that matter to your revenue, and the ability to cancel if the work is not producing.

Can you fix an SEO problem caused by a previous agency?

Usually, yes. The most common inherited problems are toxic backlink profiles, thin duplicated location pages, and site migrations that dropped redirects. We start by identifying which of these apply, because the remediation path is different for each and doing the wrong one wastes months.

How does SEO relate to being cited by AI tools like ChatGPT?

Language models are trained on and retrieve from the same public web that search engines index, so clean structure, clear factual statements and complete structured data help in both places. The difference is that generative engines quote passages rather than rank pages, so content that answers a question directly in the first two sentences gets cited far more often than content that builds to a point.
