A site that loads fast and earns its keep
Web Design & Development
Azteca Media designs and builds websites for businesses that need the site to generate enquiries, not just exist. Every build ships with structured data, correct heading hierarchy, optimized images and Core Web Vitals in the green — the technical groundwork that makes SEO and paid search work afterwards. We build on modern static architecture, which means pages that load in under a second and hosting costs measured in single digits.

What you get
Outcomes
- Pages that load in under a second on mobile
- A site search engines and AI assistants can read completely
- Clear paths to a phone call or a form on every page
- Something you can update without calling a developer for every change
Scope
What is included
Every item below is part of the quoted scope. Anything outside it is quoted separately before it starts — never added to an invoice after the fact.
- 01 Design system, not just pages
- Type scale, colour tokens and components defined once, so the site stays consistent as it grows.
- 02 Performance budget
- Image optimization, minimal JavaScript and self-hosted fonts. We set a page-weight target and hold the build to it.
- 03 Structured data built in
- Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ and Breadcrumb schema shipped with the site rather than bolted on later.
- 04 Accessibility to WCAG AA
- Keyboard navigation, visible focus, colour contrast and semantic markup. It is the law for some clients and good practice for all of them.
- 05 Analytics and conversion tracking
- GA4, call tracking and form tracking configured and verified before launch.
- 06 Launch checklist and handover
- Redirects mapped, Search Console verified, sitemap submitted. Migrations lose rankings when this step is skipped.
Process
How the work runs
-
Scope
What the site needs to do, who it needs to convince, and which pages actually earn their place. Most sites are larger than they need to be.
-
Architecture
URL structure and internal linking planned before design, because retrofitting information architecture is expensive.
-
Design
Layouts designed mobile-first against real content, never against placeholder text.
-
Build
Static-first architecture, optimized assets, structured data and accessibility checked as we go rather than at the end.
-
Launch
Redirects, Search Console, analytics verification and a post-launch crawl to catch anything the checklist missed.
A good fit if
- Your current site is slow, dated, or invisible to search
- You want the site to support SEO and paid campaigns rather than fight them
- You need to be able to add pages without breaking the design
Probably not for you if
- Projects that need a complex custom web application. We build marketing sites, and we will tell you when your project needs a software team instead.
Questions
Web Design & Development questions
How long does a website take to build?
A focused marketing site of eight to fifteen pages typically takes four to eight weeks from kickoff to launch. The variable is almost never development — it is how quickly content, photography and approvals come back. Projects where content is ready at kickoff finish at the fast end of that range.
Will a new website hurt my existing search rankings?
It can, if the migration is done carelessly. The two things that cause ranking loss are missing redirects from old URLs to new ones, and removing content that was ranking. We map every existing URL before launch and preserve or redirect all of them, then re-crawl after launch to confirm nothing 404s.
Can I update the website myself after launch?
Yes. We hand over a site you can edit without touching code for routine changes — text, images, new blog posts, new service pages. Structural changes and new page types are where you would come back to us, and we are explicit at handover about which is which.
What does a website cost?
Marketing sites generally land between $4,000 and $15,000 depending on page count, whether content and photography are needed, and how much custom design versus system reuse is involved. We quote a fixed scope after a discovery call rather than an hourly estimate, so the number you approve is the number you pay.
